A man convicted of robbery and several firearm-related offences is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
Saint John police say Vincent Currie is accused of breaching the conditions of his statutory release.
It is alleged the 42-year-old man was in possession of and consumed a controlled substance.
Currie is serving a sentence of more than six years and seven months on a variety of charges, including:
- robbery
- failure to comply with a probation order (x2)
- possession of property obtained by crime — under $5,000
- possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order
- unauthorized possession of a firearm
- unauthorized possession of a firearm prohibited/restricted weapon in a motor vehicle
- careless use/storage of a firearm
Currie is described as five foot eight inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Police said he has a tribal tattoo on his right calf and a “Nicole” tattoo on his right upper arm.
