Firefighters are battling a blaze at the Elphège & Norbert LeBlanc Limited fish plant in the Petit-Cap area.
It was reported early Tuesday morning on Quai Road.
The Chair of the Cap-Acadie Board of Directors issued a statement to say the news of this fire deeply saddens them.
“Although the causes of this incident have yet to be determined, we would like to express our unwavering support to the owners and their entire team at this difficult time,” says Natalie Cormier, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Cap-Acadie Chamber of Commerce.
The Cap-Acadie Chamber of Commerce encourages citizens to avoid speculation at this sensitive time for business owners. In a context where misinformation can spread quickly, it’s crucial to rely on official sources for reliable information.
“The relevant authorities will carry out the necessary work to determine the causes of the fire. Until we have concrete results, we will refrain from drawing conclusions on the current situation. Right now, we need to support the owners who have just lost an important asset,” insists CEO Anthony Azard.
