A 58-year-old woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Upper Rexton.

It happened on Friday night on Highway 116.

Police say the woman was from the Saint Charles North area but have not released her name.

The crash is believed to have occurred when a car crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a truck.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the woman’s exact cause of death.
