A man reportedly suffered burns after an explosion onboard a boat in the Pointe-du-Chene wharf.

The boat then erupted into flames on Sunday and plumes of black smoke could be seen from kilometres away.

Witnesses say things could have been a lot worse if others hadn’t quickly jumped into action.  They managed to tow the boat away from the wharf and other boats.

There’s no word on the extent of the man’s injuries.
