Two men from southern Ontario have been fined over 10 thousand dollars for illegally killing a moose in the Armstrong area.

Court heard that two men were hunting prior to legal hunting light in September of 2022.

They had spotted a moose on a road and shot at it from a moving vehicle.

The bull moose was transported back to their hunting camp nearby.

Both men gave false information to conservation officers while they were conducting their investigation.

A man from the Windsor area pled guilty to possessing illegally killed wildlife, making a false statement to a conservation officer and unlawfully using a vehicle to pursue wildlife.

The other hunter from Guelph pleaded guilty to making a false statement to a conservation officer.
