Halifax police are evacuating people due to a natural gas leak in Dartmouth.

Police ask people to avoid Monique Avenue, the area of the leak, which is now closed.

The road sits between Farthington Place and Leamon Drive, near Albro Lake Park, according to a post on X from Halifax police.

An emergency cell phone alert said several nearby roads have also been evacuated.
