History has been made for Canada at the Paris Olympics.

Eleanor Harvey won bronze in fencing Sunday afternoon against Italy’s Alice Volpi.

The final score is 15-12.

It is the first fencing medal, ever for Canada.

This is the second medal won at the Paris Olympics so far for Canada, Summer McIntosh secured a silver in the 400m-freestyle, Saturday afternoon.
