A south shore couple have been charged for allowing an animal to be in distress.
The SPCA says a dog, in need of medical care, was found by the side of the road last month.
It was brought to the Yarmouth shelter and was showing signs of distress from a number of medical conditions.
The dog was seized and the man and woman ages 68 and 72 from Plymouth, put in an appeal.
That was denied.
They will appear in court in September.
