The union representing specialized N.B. healthcare professionals approved a new collective agreement with the provincial government on Friday.

“As a government, we value the important work and the dedication of these specialized healthcare professionals,” said Finance and Treasury Board Minister Ernie Steeves.

“I appreciate those that worked diligently to achieve this new collective agreement and am pleased that it has been officially ratified.”

This union, known as the New Brunswick Union, includes around 1,900 members such as social workers, pharmacists, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, audiologists, dietitians, and more, all working within regional health authorities and Medavie Health Services New Brunswick.

More information will be provided once the agreement is officially finalized.
