A crash has shut down a main section of the highway in the Annapolis Valley.

Highway 101 is closed between Coldbrook (near Highway 1) and Berwick after a crash early Saturday morning.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and detour around Exit’s 14 and 15.

There is an increase in traffic to the area due to the Atlantic Airshow this weekend in Greenwood.

Police note drivers can expect delays due to the crash.
