Emergency responders are on the scene of a crash in Cooks Brook.

It has shut down Highway 224 west of Lake Egmont Road. It is about 65 kilometres outside of Halifax.

Police have the road closed in both directions and it’s expected to be impassable for several hours.

There is no detour around it and drivers should expect delays.
