Team Canada won three more medals including two gold on Day 8 at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
In swimming, Aurelie Rivard won a gold medal in the women’s 400m freestyle S10 and Tess Routliffe won bronze in the Women’s 100m breaststroke SB7 on Thursday.
Para athlete Brent Lakatos raced to first in the men’s T53 800m.
Canada now has 20 medals: six gold, six silver and eight bronze.
Meanwhile, the Senior Men’s National Team dropped an 80-43 decision to the United States at the wheelchair basketball semifinals.
Team Canada will compete for bronze when it faces Germany on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET.
The Women’s Sitting volleyball team will also play for bronze against Brazil on Saturday.
