Halifax police are back on scene of shooting that happened in Halifax’s north end, Thursday, that put two schools under a hold and secure.
Police say they are continuing their investigation and as a result have closed Rosemeade Avenue between Normandy Drive and Leeds Street.
They are asking the public to stay away from the area.
Thursday around 7:30 a.m., one man shot another when arguing on Rosemeade Avenue.
The victim was hurt and taken to hospital.
Families from St. Stephen’s Elementary and Highland Park Junior High received a notification of a hold and secure around 8 a.m., then at 9:30 a.m., it was lifted.
Police believe the two men know each other.
The suspect is described as a white man with short dark hair wearing a beige cardigan over a white shirt, dark baggy pants, grey shoes and a grey shoulder bag.
