After being shelved last year because of the pandemic, the Harvest for Hunger Food Drive is back this year.
There’s been an increased need in our community, and the local charities have been hit just as hard with rising food costs and many individuals and families using their services.
Numerous locations in and around Thunder Bay will be participating this weekend, with at least 150 volunteers helping to collect donations from people as they finish up their shopping.
What do they need most:
Canned tuna/salmon and other canned meats
Canned fruit
Canned vegetables
Peanut Butter
Pasta
Pasta Sauce
Soups
Stew
Canned (or boxed) juice
Cereal
Baby food & formula
Where to donate:
No Frills (both locations)
Skaf’s
Westfort Foods
Real Canadian Superstore
Walmart (Memorial Ave location only)
Metro (all locations)
Odena’s (Kakabeka Falls)
