A house fire in Lower Sackville sent four people to hospital including a man and three children.

District Fire Chief on duty Robert Hebb tells our newsroom about 10 units and 35 crew members responded to the Duplex around 3:15 a.m., Saturday on Riverside Drive.

The fire was in and out of the home with six family members inside.

A 37-year-old woman and 2-year-old girl escaped on their own, while a 30-year-old man was pulled out of the house by a neighbour.

Three children ages 5, 6 and 9 years old were rescued by fire crews.

No word on what caused the fire or any injuries.

Investigators remain on scene.
