There’s now eight active cases of COVID-19 within the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

Six new infections reported Friday, with four case causes pending.

Five of the new cases are being reported in First Nation communities.

Ontario is reporting 492 new cases with 325 coming from people who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.

The latest report shows that 87.7 per cent of Ontarians 12 and up have at least one dose of the vaccine, while 83.6 per cent are fully vaccinated.
