Mounties are searching for two people reported to be carrying weapons in Berry Mills, near Moncton.

RCMP issued an emergency alert around 7:30 a.m. Thursday as they search for the two men.

One has been identified as Léo Carrier, 50, while the other person’s identity is unknown.

Carrier is described as five-foot-10, weighing 170 pounds, with gray hair and hazel eyes. He has tattoos of a skull, devil, cross and storm on his chest.

Police said they are travelling in a painted black 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 with no licence plate and could be heading toward Edmundston.

“If seen, do not approach and call 911 immediately,” RCMP said in a social media post.
