There are now 21 active cases of COVID-19 within the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

The new cases reported Wednesday came from someone else who had COVID-19 and from travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is treating eight positive patients, with three of those in the Intensive Care Unit.

Ontario recorded 454 new cases with 249 emerging from individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
