Intercity Shopping Centre announced that SANTA CLAUS is going to be here starting this Saturday.  There’s one thing slightly different from in the past.  You  need to book an appointment to visit Santa.

Is it safe to say, “cheers to earning points”?  The ‘travel loyalty program’ AEROPLAN and the LCBO have announced a new partnership.  If you’re an Aeroplan member, you can now earn points when you shop at the LCBO.   It works out to ONE AEROPLAN POINT for every $4 spent.  Random FYI about the LCBO:  last year, the LCBO  delivered a $2.4 billion cheque to the Ontario government.

Earlier this year, the Ontario government announced that we’d have the option to have a Digital I.D for our Drivers License and our Health Card. It was supposed to happen by the end of the year.   It’s been put on hold and will now happen later next year.  The reason for the delay?  The ‘digital QR vaccine code’ took priority.  Once it’s released, you’ll be able to store it in your mobile phone’s ‘wallet app’.

A big “Mornings In The Bay Shoutout” to Thunder Bay’s KRISTA MCCARVILLE curling team.  They’re off to Saskatoon to play in the Tim Hortons Canadian Curling Trials.  Her first game is this Saturday against the Jennifer Jones rink.  Sunday, she’ll play Ottawa’s Rachel Homan team.  McCarville is seeded 8th in the 9 team field.  If Krista’s team wins, they’ll go to Beijing in the New Year to represent Canada at the Winter Olympics!  Good luck!
