St. Thomas Aquinas has advanced to the consolation round of the All-Ontario single “a” girls volleyball championships.

The Saints finished with a 2-2 record, losing to the top seed in their pool, University of Toronto Schools in two straight sets.

They then beat Ecole Secondaire Nouvelle Alliance from Barrie in straight sets.

TA will play in the quarter-final of the consolation round at 3:30 this afternoon against Ecole Secondaire Renaissance from Aurora.

A loss will send the Saints home, while a victory moves them on to the consolation semifinals tomorrow.
