A little more in your child’s backpack for the holiday season.

The province announcing Thursday that they’ll be send a pack of five rapid antigen COVID-19 tests home in an effort to screen kids and prevent infected kids from re-entering schools in January.

The handout to schools will happen in the middle of December with participation being voluntary.

Any child who does not take the tests will be allowed to return to school in January.
