The province is weighing on the side of caution when it comes to continued relaxation of capacity limits.
Ontario is pausing the lifting of limits in places that still have restrictions in place for high risk contact:
food or drink establishments with dance facilities such as night clubs and wedding receptions in meeting/event spaces where there is dancing;
strip clubs; and
sex clubs and bathhouses
In a release, the province said
The government and the Chief Medical Officer of Health will continue to monitor the data for the next 28 days to determine when it is safe to lift capacity limits in these settings.
And with colder months on the shorter horizon, more and more people will be moving inside for gatherings and social settings.
Out of an abundance of caution, Ontario has paused the lifting of capacity limits in remaining higher-risk settings as the province continues to monitor public health trends.
