Provincial Police hope to entice someone with information regarding the disappearance of Melanie Lapish.

A $50,000 reward is being offered.

The 35-year-old was last seen in Fort Frances on February 26, 2024.

She was reported missing to OPP on March 9, 2024.

“We hope this reward encourages anyone with information about Melanie’s disappearance to come forward,” says Acting Detective Staff Sergeant Ryan Gordon in a statement.

“Her family misses her deeply, and they deserve answers.”

OPP have applied several resources in their investigation, including the use of the crime unit, forensic identification service, canine units and the emergency response team.

Family members and friends have also participated in separate searches.

Melanie is described as being 5’9″ (175 cm) and 110 lbs (50 kg), with blue-green eyes, long dirty blonde hair and a nose ring.

She was last seen wearing a grey sweater, blue jeans and a toque.
