Happy Saturday!! This week on GIRLS NIGHT OUT Cairo and I talked about your pets! When you leave the house do you leave the radio, tv or a streaming service on for them to keep them company? We also talked about whether or not you are putting up a real or fake Christmas tree this year? And of course we have picked out a new tv show, cocktail, food for thought, and recipe for you to try out. Have a great weekend!
KELLY & CAIRO’S FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
Before settling on the Seven Dwarfs we know today, Disney also considered Chesty, Tubby, Burpy, Deafy, Hickey, Wheezy, and Awful.
The first thing Thomas Edison filmed with his movie camera was a person sneezing.
The communicator (walkie-talkie) in “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” is actually a Gillette women’s razor.
Michael Jackson tried to buy Marvel so he could star in ‘Spider-Man’ movies.
COCKTAIL OF THE WEEK: WARMING MULLED WINE
How to make:
Step 1: Chop up the orange and lemon.
Step 2: Mix fruit, grape juice and star anise in a large saucepan or pot and bring that to a boil and then let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
Step 3: Add red wine and gently warm it up for 5 minutes. Do not boil as you don’t want to burn off the alcohol in the wine.
Step 4: Serve and enjoy
Ingredients:
Red Wine
Orange
Lemon
Grape Juice
Star Anise
Blackberries
RECIPE OF THE WEEK: CORDON BLEU
How to make:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400. Next cut slits into the chicken and stuff it with cheese and seal it with toothpicks.
Step 2: Whisk egg and flour in a bowl and dip chicken into egg mixture, then into the panko breadcrumbs. (I do this twice to get a good coating)
Step 3: Next take out the toothpicks and wrap your chicken in bacon then reseal it when finished.
Step 4: Bake for 1/2 an hour or until golden brown next it’s time to make the sauce.
Step 5: Melt butter over medium heat in a small saucepan then add in some flour and cook for about 1 minute. Next add in half the amount of milk until it is blended and then add the rest of the milk parmesan cheese and dijon mustard. Cook for about 5 minutes (stir it constantly) until the sauce is think. Pour on top of chicken!

Parmesan Cheese
