Charges have been laid after a fatal crash in February 2021.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to the collision on Highway 17 about 30 kilometers west of Marathon to find a tractor trailer in a ditch and a GMC truck against the guard rails.

The driver of the pick up truck was pronounced dead on scene.

Both the passenger and driver of the tractor trailer were taken to hospital where they were treated for injuries.

35-year-old Prabhjot Cheema from Brampton ON, the driver of the tractor trailer, has been charged with dangerous operation causing death.

Their next court appearance is January 20, 2022.
