We should see gasoline and diesel prices drop dramatically on Monday night.

The carbon price paid by consumers will be set at zero as of Tuesday, April 1.

It was a move announced by the Liberal government just two days before the election.

The carbon tax adds more than 17 cents to a litre of gasoline and 21 cents to a litre of diesel.

Maximum prices currently range from $1.64 for regular self-serve gasoline to $1.86 for diesel.
