We had a gross conversation this morning. My little guy was not feeling well overnight and woke up with puke all over him. I realized that most of the terms we have for throw up are unpleasant… vomit, puke, barf, up chuck, spew. So I asked our great listeners to come up with better terms for the disgusting act.
Barry-“Technicolour yawn”
Lisa-“My friend is from Australia and they it Chunder”
Beth-“We call it getting sick”
Quintin-“Letting out the demons is what I call it”
Diane-“Technicolour cough”
Wynona-“My husband with a bit of a french accent, would say i feel to trow out. i would say puke. And the rest of world most likely says vomited ”
Andrew-“My young fella did the same thing the other night but was fine right after. We call it throw up or barf in my house with my 4year old… is what it is, don’t need to try and soften up yet another thing in this world. Talking about it is just words, hearing the words is easier to hear than having to clean it up lol. My kid says “frow up” or “I frowed up” so it’s one of them things I find funny that he says that will be gone soon when he figures out the words properly”
Rob and Edith were not happy with me…
Rob-“Why do you keep bringing up puking at 7:30 in the morning. Nobody wants to hear that”
Edith-“TMI…Having breakfast!!!!!!”
And even Nashville Kat came up with a better term for throwing up… “Driving the white porcelain bus”
