A man remains in custody after a firearm was discharged inside an International Falls apartment complex.

International Falls City Police says officers were initially called about a disturbance at the complex on 5th Avenue.

When they arrive, they learned that a firearm has discharged.

No one was hurt but the suspect had fled the scene, leading to a police search aided by the Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office and Border Patrol.

A tip to police led to the man being arrested the next morning.
