Polls in Ontario have closed.

A party will need 172 seats across the country in order to form a majority government.

When the government dissolved in late March, the Liberals had 152 seats while the Conservatives had 120 seats.

The Bloc Québécois had 33 seats, followed by the NDP with 24 and the Green Party with two.

There were three independent MPs in the House of Commons and four seats were vacant.
