Sackville RCMP are asking for the public’s help to find a man who allegedly assaulted someone with a weapon.

Police say they got a call on May 18 at 3:45 p.m. about a person who had assaulted another inside a home on Albion Street, according to a news release.

The suspect ran before police arrived.

Officers describe the suspect “as a 39-year-old man, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall (178 centimetres), with a skinny build, olive complexion, dark hair, and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black and white T-shirt, tie-dye pants, and carrying a backpack. He also has a large tattoo on his left hand.”

Police have also released an image of the suspect.

If you see someone matching the description, call 911. And if you know any information about the incident, police ask you to contact them.

Investigators say they believe this is an isolated incident, so they did not issue an Alert Ready.
