A relatively low number when it comes to COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.

The Thunder Bay Health Unit is reporting nine new cases with seven resolved. This means the active case count jumps slightly to 66.

Five of the new cases were a result of contact within a household, one was from travel outside of Northwestern Ontario, and the cause of the other three are currently considered pending.

The health unit is also reporting that there are two people in the hospital with the virus, one in the ICU.
