Visitor and patient restrictions have been placed at Rainycrest Long Term Care in Fort Frances.
Riverside Health Care says it is because of a gastro outbreak within the home’s Special Care Unit.
Residents are permitted no more than two visitors or caregivers at any one time.
There are also restrictions on admissions, transfers, discharges and large group social activities for residents in the unit until further notice.
In the meantime, a respiratory outbreak at Rainy River Health Centre that occurred earlier this month has now been declared over.
Riverside Health Care advises visitors to self-screen before entering any of its facilities.
Anyone experiencing symptoms should not visit.
