Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers are set to return to the bargaining table on Wednesday.

According to a CUPW release, the employer plans to respond to the union’s latest proposals. Mediators presented those details to Canada Post on Sunday.

Some key issues in the labour dispute include wages, sick days, workers compensation and staffing.

The union representing 55,000 workers was in a position to strike as of last Friday.

They opted instead for a national overtime ban, which remains in effect as negotiations continue.
