Simpson Street in Thunder Bay is set for a lengthy closure to continue infrastructure and road work.

The street is going to be closed from Victoria Avenue to Dease Street starting on Monday.

During the work, Simpson is set to get fresh asphalt, sidewalks and traffic signals at intersections.

The work is expected to be completed by the fall, depending on the weather.

Signage will be posted to guide drivers and pedestrians around the construction zone.

The city is reminding road users to drive with caution, follow all posted signs, and plan alternate routes where possible.
