Firefighters from the Sackville area are on the scene of a house fire in Beaver Bank.

Crews got a call around 11 a.m. Friday morning about a fire on Tucker Lake Road.

Firefighters found an active fire there and have upgraded it to a second alarm, bringing in more resources from nearby, according to a social media post from the Halifax firefighters union.

The union asks people to avoid the area to let emergency crews do their jobs.
