A train carrying canola seed has derailed west of Fort Frances, according to fire officials.
The derailment happened between Highway 613 South and Lavallee Road South in the Devlin area.
In a social media post, Chapple, Emo and La Vallee Fire and Emergency Services said the train has split, with a section of upright cars blocking the Lavallee Road South crossing.
Firefighters put out several small spot fires between the two sections of train, said the post.
The department said no injuries were reported and there is no danger to the public at this time.
There is no word yet on what caused the derailment or how many rail cars were involved.
