We lost Betty White when she passed away on December 31, a couple of weeks before her 100th birthday on January 17. You can honor her memory on that date, connected with the actress’s love for animals. White was the chair of the national “Be Kind to Animals Week” and promoted the protection of animals in film and TV, and she even served on the board of directors for the American Humane Society. The Betty White Birthday Challenge has gone viral and encourages everyone to donate $5 on January 17, to a local animal shelter or humane society in White’s name.
