Temperatures should turn cooler by Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, there is a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for Queens and Lunenburg counties on Wednesday morning.
Conditions could produce strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
The forecaster warns that lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.
Heavy rain can cause flash flooding and significantly reduce visibility.
