Two former Thunder Bay Border Cats pitchers have been selected in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft.

They were both selected on the last day of the draft on Monday.

Riely Hunsaker, who was attending Lamar University, was selected in the 16th round, 481st overall by the Chicago Cubs.

The 22-year-old appeared in four games for the Cats during the 2023 season.

Peyton Fosher, a 22-year-old who was attending the University of Nevada, was selected by the Miami Marlins in the 19th round, 558th overall.

He appeared in eight games with Thunder Bay in 2023.

A total of 78 other players from the Northwoods League were selected during the draft.
