Vaccinations are on the rise across the Thunder Bay District’s Health Unit.

In a recent update, the health unit indicates that 84.2 per cent of people 12+ have received both doses of the vaccine.

Just over 50 per cent of eligible children 5-11 yrs have received their first dose as well.

Combining all numbers, everyone 5 years old and up who is eligible to get a both doses is at 74.7 per cent.

More than 300,000 vaccines have been given out by the dedicated staff working through the health unit.

Based on a population of 162,303, only 29 per cent of people have had all three doses of a vaccine (two initial, one booster).
