Highway 71 is fully closed just south of Kenora.

The closure is near Echo Bay, just north of Gibi Lake Road.

The situation was first reported by the Ministry of Transportation around 3:45 p.m. on Friday.

The cause of the closure is a collision.

No information is available on when the roadway is expected to be open again.
