Well maybe not total destruction but “potentially hazardous”.  NASA projects that an asteroid the size of Empire State Building is coming towards Earth and will be getting uncomfortably close.  NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory believes that the space body could come within 1,231,184 miles of Earth. This would be the closest the asteroid has come to Earth since January 17, 1933.  That doesn’t sound that close but the space nerds think it could be dangerous if something happens to it’s flight path.   I for one hope they call Bruce Willis now and get him and bunch or other oil drillers up in a rocket now… just to be safe.
