A 60-year-old woman is dead after a two-vehicle collision in Dixon Point.

RCMP say it happened August 1, around 1:14 p.m. on Route 535 between a motorcycle and a car.

The motorcycle is believed to have crossed the centre lane when travelling northbound and crashed into the oncoming car.

The woman from Dixon Point, the driver of the motorcycle, died on scene.

The driver of the car was hurt and taken to hospital.

A traffic reconstructionist is helping with the investigation.
