Country Music Star Sara Evans was in the news over the weekend for all the wrong reasons.   Her husband, Jay Barker, was arrested in Nashville on Saturday morning and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He allegedly tried to hit Sara with his vehicle. The scary incident occurred after 1 AM. Evans was a passenger in a friend’s car leaving a party at a neighbor’s house. She allegedly saw Barker backing up his vehicle “at a high rate of speed attempting to hit them.”  According to documents obtained by Scoop Nashville, Evans filed for divorce in August 2021, citing “irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct,” making the continuation of their marriage both “impossible and impractical.”
