Two separate incidents have closed parts of Highway 17 in both directions on Thursday morning.

The first closure is in Terrace Bay, where a collision near the east town sign was reported just after 8:30 a.m.

All lanes are closed in both directions, and crews are on scene. No further details have been released.

The second closure is near Marathon, where a transport truck crashed by the Lafarge Plant entrance around 6:36 a.m.

The collision caused a vehicle fire, and all lanes remain closed.

There is no update yet on injuries or when the highway will reopen.

Drivers in the area should expect delays and plan alternate routes.
