Kings Transit will no longer run in the Town of Digby.
The last day for the bus service in the town will be this Saturday, August 30.
In July, the transit authority applied to the Nova Scotia Regulatory and Appeals Board to remove the fixed route service within the Town of Digby.
At a hearing last month, the Town of Digby confirmed they’d no longer fund the route.
In their decision, the board says a lack of funding negatively affects the quality of the service and the ability of the authority to provide proper service to the town.
The authority says they’ll still service a stop on Warwick Street into the district of Digby.
They apologize to their riders for the inconvenience.
