One man has been sentenced and another charged in connection with a Saint John drug trafficking investigation.

Police received information in June, and the probe began.

Four searches were conducted earlier this month, and six people were arrested.

Two men, who are 51 and 47 years old, appeared in court.

One pleaded guilty to possession for the purpose of trafficking and was sentenced to five and a half years in custody.

The other is facing several charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking.  He’ll return to court at a later date.

Over $60,000 worth of drugs and weapons were seized, including cocaine and oxycodone..
