The Municipality of Inverness County has issued a boil water advisory for all users of the Whycocomagh water system.

According to a release, it comes following a water leak reported Friday on Milford Road.

The advisory is expected to remain in place until at least Sunday at 10 a.m.

All Whycocomagh water users are advised to:

• Bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least one to two minutes before use.
• Allow water to cool before using it for:
  • Drinking
  • Making ice
  • Brushing teeth
  • Washing dishes
  • Preparing food and beverages

The municipality says the leak has been repaired. Water services previously disrupted for residents of Milford Road and Bayview Drive were to return Friday evening.

Municipal staff will return to finish this work on Tuesday. Drive with caution in the area.
