Students returning to Shatford Memorial Elementary this week are being welcomed back with a key infrastructure upgrade.

Over the summer, the school’s aging septic system was replaced as part of a provincewide initiative to improve essential infrastructure in public schools.

The new system is now fully operational, ensuring the facility can continue to meet health and safety standards.

The project cost $225,000 and was funded through the provincial government’s capital improvement program.

Full details on this and other projects from the program can be found through the province.
