Thirteen members and counting for the newly created Northern Task Force.

The province unveiled Friday the working group that will look at ways to make it easier for people and goods to travel, while boosting economic growth in the North.

“I am honoured to be included and co-lead the Northern Task Force and look forward to collaborating with government and other representatives as we work to improve the safety of our highways,” said Shuniah Mayor Wendy Landry, who also serves as the President of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA).

Also on the task force are Kenora Mayor Daniel Reynard and Sioux Lookout Mayor Doug Lawrance.

The group will have their first meeting on Thursday, January 27th.
